David Leigh-Hunt is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a trained civil mediator. David has been a practising solicitor engaged in prosecutions, later undertaking defence work, building up experience in a variety of litigation and ran his own legal firm for over 20 years. From advising and representing clients on legal aid in the days when it was available, David became sensitive to issues of the cost to people and businesses to engage in the legal system to argue for their rights. As a keen advocate of mediation based on his experiences as a Solicitor, David provides services of arbitration and civil mediation (other than domestic or family matters) and support and advice for solicitors with professional problems or issues with the professional Regulator for matters arising in England under English law. Outside the law and alternative dispute resolution, David is an elected Councillor with a district council where he deals with community issues and the problems of local people.
