John Dowse is a Senior Managing Director at Ankura based in Toronto, Canada. He has over 37 years of experience, globally, of diverse construction, engineering, consulting and dispute advisory services, and holds both construction and legal qualifications. John has authored and presented expert reports in negotiations, mediations, arbitration and litigation, in several jurisdictions. He is an experienced neutral, having acted as arbitrator, adjudicator, DAB/DRB, and mediator. He also lectures and provides mentorship and training in related subjects.
Nicholas is a construction, energy and international arbitration lawyer. He is also a solicitor-advocate, chartered surveyor, accredited adjudicator and mediator. He sits as arbitrator and on dispute boards. The IBA’s International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers Today, listed him as one of the “ten most highly regarded individuals internationally for construction law”. Nicholas is a Visiting Professor at King’s College London and Vice President of the ICC’s Arbitration Commission. He is President of the DRBF and past Chairman of the Society of Construction Law.
Israel Almodovar is a Senior Managing Director in the Construction Disputes & Advisory Practice at Ankura and is one of Co-Leaders of Ankura’s Latin America Construction Group. Israel has over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry and specializes in providing advisory and litigation consulting services on domestic and international construction projects in the areas of schedule delay and cost overruns. Israel has lectured at various international conferences regarding project administration and construction claims issues. He is also fluent in Spanish.
