This online event offers all CIArb members the unique opportunity to hear from the CIArb leaders and to put questions to them about CIArb’s role going forward and the effects of the 2020 pandemic on the global ADR industry. An online networking opportunity will also be available following the presentations.
Alternative dispute resolution (ADR) professionals are currently facing concerns about what the events of 2020 mean for their practice and for the ADR industry at large. How is CIArb helping to address the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic?
For the first part of this webinar, Francis Xavier SC PBM C.Arb FCIArb (current CIArb President), Catherine Dixon (CIArb Director General) and Jonathan Wood MCIArb (Chair of CIArb Board of Trustees) join moderator Marion Smith QC FCIArb (Deputy Chair of CIArb Board of Trustees) to explore the issues in conversation. They will examine and discuss:
· the shifting landscape of dispute resolution and how the pandemic has affected many areas of ADR practice
· the question of whether the pandemic presents a crisis or an opportunity for ADR practice
· initiatives and strategies CIArb is using to support its members and raise the profile of ADR both now and in the period to come.
In the second part of the online event, attendees will have an opportunity to put their questions to Francis, Catherine, and Jonathan in a Q&A session.
This unique chance to hear from the CIArb leaders is not to be missed. Likewise, it is an important opportunity for the CIArb leaders to hear from the members. Attendees are asked to take advantage of the opportunity to submit their questions in advance during registration. Then be sure to join the online networking event after the presentations to continue the conversations with our global audience.
