CIArb's Scottish Branch is inviting you to the lecture 'Major construction projects - does it follow that there are major disputes' by Susan Barrett, Urban Growth Company.
Whatever the size of a construction project no one starts wanting disputes and we all hope the all goes well and everybody is happy from start to finish. On major projects the reality is that disputes are likely to happen. Disputes can end becoming major disputes and often acrimonious and all consuming. However, accepting that disputes happen, can they be dealt with in such a way that the effects are minimised and parties can concentrate on the day job of getting on with building something?
In this presentation Susan will discuss the various ways disputes can be minimised or avoided, on any project regardless of size, including the use of Conflict Avoidance Panels.
