Dr. Waleed El Nemr, Contracts Director, Hill International (Africa) Ltd.

Dr. El Nemr has 25 years of experience in contracts and claims management, encompassing positions in various international project management firms, such as Bechtel, Fluor Daniel and Hill International. He has also assumed several roles during dispute resolution proceedings in construction projects, acting as arbitrator, expert adjudicator, expert appointed by the tribunal, expert appointed by an arbitration party and dispute adjudication board member. He is MENA Regional Director of the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE) International MENA Regional Director of the Association for the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (DRBF) and Vice President of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators – Egypt Branch. He is the author of numerous papers and a speaker in numerous conferences, seminars and webinars on the topic of construction contracts and claims. He is currently the Contracts Director of Hill International’s North Africa branch, based in Egypt and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at The American University in Cairo in the construction engineering department.

He is a recognized and published expert in mitigation, analysis and resolution or defence of construction claims. A Certified Construction Manager, Certified Forensic Claims Consultant, Expert Certified Construction Claims Specialist, Expert Certified Construction Delay Analyst, and Project Management Professional.
