This is the second in our series of speaker led/audience participation events. No one can dispute that the events of 2020 have had a big impact on all aspects of our lives and the economy. In this event Len Bunton C.Arb FCIArb and Neil Kelly ACIArb discuss the impact of COVID -19 on the construction industry and will look at the work of the Construction Industry Coronavirus Forum (CICV), the changes needed to procurement strategies, improved commercial management training, the RICS Conflict Avoidance Pledge, Low Cost Value Adjudication Schemes, and the impact of these on dispute resolution processes.
Audience participation will be welcome and encouraged.

Len Bunton FRICS FCIArb Hon FRIAS has a significant track record in the Construction Industry. Len has been involved in dispute resolution for over 40 years having acted as arbiter, adjudicator, expert witness, mediator, conciliator and claims consultant. Len is past Chairman of the Scottish Building Contracts Committee and of the Chartered Institute or Arbitrators, Scottish Branch. He is also an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland.
Neil Kelly is Head of Construction at MacRoberts LLP with over 35 years’ experience advising on the avoidance and resolution of construction disputes. He has extensive knowledge and experience of ADR, including mediation, adjudication and arbitration - representing clients and acting as adjudicator and arbitrator. Neil is a past Chairman of the CIArb Scottish Branch, an Honorary Fellow of the RIAS and an Honorary Member of RICS.
