On 5 December 2017, the CIArb UAE Branch held a workshop for members at the Rosewood Hotel, Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi.
The workshop was presented by Caroline Kehoe who is a disputes Partner at Herbert Smith Freehills in Dubai, UAE.
The subject of the workshop was “External Counsel and In-house Teams – Getting the Best out of the Arbitral Process."
The members feedback noted that it was well organised and a good learning opportunity.

Significant progress on Advisory Centre for International Investment Law at UNCITRALIn 2017, UNCITRAL Working Group III (WGIII) was launched and was tasked with working on procedural reform of the investor state dispute settlement (ISDS) system. From 1-5 April 2024, Ciarb participated in the 48th session of WGIII in its capacity as an observer delegate.
