The CIArb (EAB) YMG and ICE HKA G&S jointly organized a visit to the CITAC on 12 May 2018. Our YMG chairperson, Mr David Luk, and Committee Member, Mr Fred Ho were among the 20 visitors during the guided tour.
The visitors were introduced to cutting edge construction innovation and technology application and were given the chance to explore and understand their latest development worldwide and in the particular context of Hong Kong. Trendy applications including: Modular Integrated Construction, virtual reality simulations, 3D printing and foamed concrete, are on display in CITAC. Mr. Fred Ho, CIArb (EAB) YMG Committee Member, had the opportunity to experience a VR simulation with a virtual reality headset tailored for construction site inspection.
The YMG committee would like to thank Ms. Carmen Liu, CIArb (EAB) YMG Committee Member, for arranging this event with the CITAC and subsequently coordinating with the ICE HKA G&S to make this event.

Significant progress on Advisory Centre for International Investment Law at UNCITRALIn 2017, UNCITRAL Working Group III (WGIII) was launched and was tasked with working on procedural reform of the investor state dispute settlement (ISDS) system. From 1-5 April 2024, Ciarb participated in the 48th session of WGIII in its capacity as an observer delegate.
